Material Coordinator
*Job Summary:*
The Material Coordinator will be responsible for all construction materials on the project site. Ensures that proper provisions are in place for the receipt, control, storage, and issuance of all materials on site. Ensures that all equipment and materials are properly received, unloaded, and stored in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations or company requirements.
* Duties & Essential Job Functions:*
1. Record the receipt of all materials and equipment and documents the condition of materials and equipment.
2. Prepare and issue OS&D reports to the Home office and project team.
3. Record issuance of all company supplied equipment and materials to company personnel and contractors.
4. Review and analyze the materials delivery schedule in conjunction with Site Construction Manager and management team to ensure compliance with schedule requirements.
5. Expedite equipment and materials as required to ensure timely arrival at site.
6. Generate and maintain a Two-Week Look-a-Head material delivery schedule.
7. Establish and maintain the equipment and materials storage yard with the support the Site Construction Manager.
8. Coordinate and organize activities on the project to avoid interferences in work activities performed by company personnel and contractors as required by site management.
9. Perform inspections to ensure company and contractor personnel are properly storing equipment and materials per manufactures requirements thus maintaining integrity and warranties. Record the findings of inspections on company inspection reports and issue findings to the Site Construction Manager for review and correction as required.
10. Manage operations of the company site warehouse and/or storage facility.
11. Ensure that all work carried out within the warehouse and/or storage facility are performed in a safe and effective manner
12. Requisition tools and materials needed to execute the work under the direction of the Site Construction Manager.
13. Attend meetings as required to ensure good communication between the various entities on the project.
14. Ensure documentation of materials received is sent to the Home Office for payment.
15. Maintain a log of field purchased materials.
* Other Functions and Responsibilities:*
1. Must have good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
2. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments.
3. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job.
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.
Qualifications:
Required:
1. High School Diploma.
2. Legal Authorization to work in the United States.
3. 5+ Years Materials Management experience in a construction setting.
