Site Construction Manager
*Job Summary:*
The Site Construction Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and implementation of site specific programs that ensure compliance with statutory requirements and promote safe and healthy working conditions during the construction project. Ensures timely and efficient completion of the work and that all work is accomplished in accordance with project specifications within project schedules and budgets in a quality manner while conforming to the applicable accounting requirements.
* Duties & Essential Job Functions:*
1. Oversee proper execution of all work activities within the scope of work of the construction project.
2. Assume the responsibility of primary site contact on the construction project.
3. Ensure proper execution of the Site Construction Execution Plan.
4. Illustrate an exemplary safety attitude with overall responsibility for the safety program on site.
5. Promote a spirit of honesty and openness with client and contractors.
6. Responsible for the day to day field operations of the project.
7. Establish and lead weekly site construction progress meetings with the client.
8. Establish and lead weekly site construction progress meeting with other contractors on site.
9. Monitor and control cost of construction in regard to performance and productivity.
10. Demonstrate the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities for improvement and able to offer valuable and cost effective solutions.
11. Interface with project management and team leaders to provide daily, weekly, and monthly reports and updates including but not limited to daily manpower and equipment reports, schedule updates, safe man hour reports, OS&D reports, material receiving reports and other reports or logs as required.
12. Attend contractor safety meetings to ensure quality and effectiveness of the meetings.
13. Assure conformance to specifications, drawings, codes and standards.
14. Lead the verification effort for contractor progress.
15. Ensure proper closeout of the construction section of the Project Close-Out Report is completed.
16. Ensure construction requirements for Job Books are completed with accuracy.
* Other Functions and Responsibilities:*
1. Must have good written, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
2. Ability to read and interpret policies, programs, and regulations.
3. Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and ensure prompt completion of tasks and assignments.
4. Must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Relies on minimal instructions and pre-established guidelines and timetables to perform the functions of the job.
5. Competent with Microsoft Office products, Internet, and other database programs.
* Qualifications:*
* Required:*
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a closely related field from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
2. 10+ Years prior experience managing construction projects.
